CLEVELAND – It’s the must-see event for foodies this fall, and now the Fabulous Food Show is ready to welcome thousands of people to the IX Center this weekend.

TV chef and host Jason Roberts gave Fox 8’s Annette Lawless a sneak peek of this weekend’s event.

“It’s starting to get really hyped up in here,” Roberts said, showing a food prep area behind the main stage. “We got all the chefs…so all these culinary students come in here, give their time for free. These guys are the hub of the show.”

New this year include special Veterans Day programming and Fooditude, food entertainment just for the kids.

Several celebrity chefs will also partake in the show, including Cleveland’s own Michael Symon, Guy Fieri, Jeff Mauro, Anne Burrell, Jacques Pepin, Sara Moulton and Mary Ann Esposito.

“This is the celebrity kitchen theater,” Roberts said. “We have all the big benches and cooktops and ovens and big screens. They are looking at 2,000 or 3,000 screaming fans. It’s amazing up here. Chefs are now rock stars.”

Roberts has attended the Fabulous Food Show since it started seven years ago. He’ll be emceeing the festivities and will also host a doughnut-making demonstration.

“Cleveland really is sort of a food mecca right now,” Roberts said. “People think New York, San Francisco, Chicago. Cleveland’s got good food coming out of here. You have great chefs…food trucks are taking off too. Cleveland Rocks!”

The Fabulous Food Show runs Friday through Sunday at the IX Center. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
