The b**** is back.

And you better watch yours.

Heather Locklear makes her scene-stealing return as Amanda Woodward, now the owner of WPK Publicity—you know, that home of our other favorite conniving blonde, Ella.

And these ladies better stomp their stilettos on each other—or I just might say “sayonara” to the series. This is not summer camp. It’s Melrose. Lust, scandal, drama—now that’s TV to talk about.

Thus far, the show has been shaky. The scatterbrained storylines and awkward returns of original cast members have left the series remake less than desired.

I mean, come on. Producers kill off Sydney, one of the most interesting cast members in the pilot, dumbing down her role to a series of flashbacks. Meanwhile, the short-lived return of the older, freshly Botoxed residents is annoying and unfair to original Melrose-in-ites. It’s become more of a snooze fest than a glitterati hub. (At least we get a few scantily clad moments with the hotter-than-hot cast. Ahh, how I will forever miss the ripples of Auggie’s abdomen.)

Even the most interesting cast members, like Ella and Lauren haven’t truly taken off. It’s like the writers have no sense of direction. Or maybe they just prefer mediocrity.

And this is why the series decided to bring back Locklear, the pinch hitter in the original Melrose. Some dub her to single-handedly igniting the show into must-see television. From then on, Locklear was a “special guest star”—something, I’m sure Melrose 2.0 wouldn’t mind—as long as she lures in the ratings.

So tonight, my friends, the stakes are high—even higher than her strappy Christian Louboutins. Let’s just hope Amanda can once again become the fair-haired 4616 villain.

The return of Melrose’s blonde, malicious… well, you know. It’s definitely an episode you’ve gotta see. Catch it all tonight at 8 p.m. on the KSCW.
