ROCKY RIVER, Ohio–Nothing feels better than looking your best–and today some local seniors were surprised with a special makeover.
Magnificat High school students visited The Normandy retirement community in Rocky River today.
It was an afternoon of smiles and laughs, as students gave manicures to the seniors.
“Well, it’s something nice to do, to meet these young people,” said Helen McConville, an 86-year-old resident. “Cause you know, I’m not only old, but everybody in here is old.”
The service project was something the high school’s Key Club ran years ago, but students decided to revive the program this year. Now, the students plan to return to the community to give the ladies a day of beauty.
