Special Olympics Ohio is fundraising in a unique way– and it’s all about how high you go.
Donors went to new heights at Double Tree Hotel downtown today.
They’re practicing for tomorrow’s “Over the Edge” event, a first fundraiser of this kind, where they will rapell off the 18th story of the building.
“So I’m kind of a little anxious right now, so it’s just, we had one in Columbus and everybody had a great experience,” said Paige Ludwig. “It’s just a fun day, something out-of-the-box, unique for special olympics.”
But, the guy who caught the most attention? A giant chocolate-chip cookie.
More than 35 people are expected to rapell off the building tomorrow, which has raised more than $50,000 the state’s special olympics program.
