MASSILLON, Ohio – Football season is just weeks away, but Tiger football may face its toughest opponent yet – a thief.
Massillon police said the freshman locker room in at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium was broken into Sunday night or Monday morning.
According to police reports, about $6,000 in equipment was stolen from the Washington High School football team. Items include seven helmets, 10 shoulder pads, 7 arm shields, gloves and personal items.
Massillon staff members say the loss will not affect the team.
The case is still under investigation.
