The Salvation Army is expecting an increase in need this holiday season, and starting today, families can sign up for help through the Angel Tree and Star of Hope programs.

Applications are being accepted at three Wichita Salvation Army locations from now until Nov. 22.

West Orchard Corps, 1910 S. Everett and Citadel Corps, 1739 Elpyco St.
Nov. 4 to 8 and Nov. 11 to 14
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Downtown Location, 350 N. Market St.
Nov. 11 to 22
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mon., Tues., Wed., and Fri.
10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thurs.

The Salvation Army says that applicants may only apply for one holiday program.

Here are some additional details the organization provided:
Each applicant must bring the following documents:
· Proof of Identification: legal documentation for every child and adult living in the home (Social Security card, birth certificate, immunization card, photo ID, medical card, etc.)
· Proof of income for the last 30 days for each adult in the home (DCF cash & food stamp forms, payroll check stub, etc.)
· Proof of address – a bill or something mailed to the applicant within the last 30 days

For the Angel Tree program, parents are asked to bring gift ideas for their children who are 14 and younger (around $25 per child).
