Christmas is almost here, and if you’re looking to get gifts out to those on your list, there are important deadlines to keep in mind.

The United States Postal Service recommends that you have items shipped out this week to get letters and packages to people by Dec. 24.

Here are a few important dates, when items should be shipped:

First-class mail – Friday, Dec. 20.
Priority mail – Saturday, Dec. 21
Priority Mail Express – Monday, Dec. 23
