SALINA, Kan. — More than 370,000 Kansans live at or below the poverty level.

Yet, this weekend, the Circles of the Heartland is hoping to educate people about the problem by simulating what it’s like to live in poverty.

The event will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1. It will be held at Trinity UMC, located at 901 E. Neal in Salina, Kan.

There is a fee to participate.
