Nothing is more soothing than a hot cup of spiced orange cider on a cold winter’s night.

This was a product I used to buy from school sales, but could never find the product in stores. After years of testing this recipe, here’s what I consider the perfect drink.

Bring this mix to work, as it’s a sure-fire drink your co-workers will L-O-V-E.

It’s also a cute, easy, inexpensive holiday gift that’s fun for the kiddos (looks like sand art).

This recipe is so popular, it’s featured on All Recipe’s, a go-to site for any cook.

Here is my “Spiced Orange Cider Mix”

Ingredients:

  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c orange flavored drink mix (such as Tang)
  • ½ c instant tea powder
  • ½ t ground cinnamon
  • ½ t ground cloves

Directions

Combine sugar, orange flavored drink mix, tea powder, cinnamon, and cloves in a large bowl. Store in a sealed container. To serve, mix 2 to 3 tablespoons of the mixture with a cup of hot water.

Yield: 20 servings

Special notes

Sometimes I like to experiment with additional flavors in this mix. Other spices to consider are nutmeg, ginger, etc.
