I’ve was born with a gift. A gift to communicate to people. To enchant them with a story. To motivate them. To teach them. And somehow, journalism is an outlet where I can best use this gift to build a greater world.
I attribute my first experience with journalism back in high school, where I was a debate and forensics junkie. I won more than 70 medals in various events, including acting, persuasive and extemporaneous speaking.
First enrolled as a political science major in college, I eventually made the move to journalism due to my passion to change the school paper. I eventually became editor of the Kansas State Collegian—twice.
During that time, I also was co-host of a radio talk show “He Said, She Said,” where battle-of-the-sexes banter flooded the airwaves. And soon after, I discovered my love for television through an internship at the ABC-affiliate in Wichita, Kan.
Another blog from my old site. I hope to update this new site with some of my older writing pieces. Enjoy!
