A new feature on cell phones could eat up your data.
A new iPhone software upgrade offers Wi-Fi Assist, giving cell phone users the best Internet connection available to them. With the new cell phone feature, if your wireless Internet isn’t as good as a 3G or 4G network, your phone can automatically switch to the best service.
It gives cell phone users the best service, but may cost them data usage and extra fees. The feature appears to be well-accepted for folks with unlimited data. However, others online are saying they’re already exceeding their data limits, resulting in hundreds of dollars in fees.
The new feature has come with mixed opinions.
