CoverGirl names 1st male spokesmodel

Some are calling it makeup history.

CoverGirl announces James Charles as its first male spokesmodel for the makeup brand. The company shared a picture on Instagram Tuesday, introducing people to the makeup artist and YouTuber.

“Meet @JCharlesBeauty: makeup artist, boundary breaker, and the newest COVERGIRL! Spread the word by regramming using #COVERGIRLJames,” CoverGirl writes in the post.

The 17-year-old shared the news with his 430,000 Instagram followers with a video post.
