A heartbreaking time for our family.

We’ve learned that our dog, Sadie, died. We found her body.

It makes me sad to think of not hearing her scurry across the wood floors (and us having to dart right after her because that meant she needed to go potty.)

I’m going to miss asking her to bring her “baby” to us – a squeaker toy that she was very fond of.

I wish I could scratch her side because when I did, she would turn her head and kick her legs until she nearly fell over.

It makes me sad to know we will not hear her sweet barks when chasing the ball.

Or hearing Henry call for her… “Sade!” So cute.

My absolute favorite memory is of her sleeping by Henry’s side. She’s been with Henry for every naptime, snack time and bedtime.

You can’t find a better friendship or a better pet to share it with. If Henry knew how good of a friend he had. No worries, we have video and plenty of pictures, as you can see.

We believe early on, she was an abused pup, but Tim and his friends took her in. She learned tricks. She was obedient and friendly. If you opened your car door, she would jump in. Boy, did she love rides.

Sadie’s lived a good 15 years in this world. We are blessed to have shared most of it with her.

Thank you all for sharing our missing dog posts, and thank you to our neighbors and friends who helped us out this week. It’s been a sad day, and at times, frustrating. I hope everyone understands. I haven’t lost a dog in a long time, and Sadie was really the best.

Can’t wait to see you in heaven, one day, Sadie, and I’ll be sure to bring you a goodie.
