Human remains found in north-central Oklahoma have been identified as missing Kansas man Quinten Rouch.
A medical examiner was able to match Rouch’s dental records to the human bones found in the afternoon of April 12. About 80 bones were discovered in a heavily wooded area in Kaw City, said Steve Kelley, the sheriff in Kay County. He said it typically takes up to a month before the medical examiner will have additional findings.
A large area, of about 200’ by 200’, was closed off during the initial stages of the investigation that day. Kay County Sheriff’s deputies and reserve deputies were called to assist, due to the large size of the scene and help preserve it.
Quinten was reported missing in early May 2018.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help Quinten’s family with funeral expenses. Quinten leaves behind a child.

Quinten Bailey Rouch vanished in early May. Investigators are trying to piece together clues, hoping that he’s still alive.
It’s been months since Charissa Satterlee has seen her son, Quinten.
It’s believed that Quinten was picked up in the middle of the night, around May 9. Satterlee said two men picked up Quinten and took him to Oklahoma. Then, a man and a woman were spotted with Quinten — believed to be on Highway 77. They may have been going to Kaw City, more than 30 miles from his Kansas home.
Arkansas City police say it’s suspicious, just based on the amount of time that has passed, from the time he was last seen to this point. As of May 9, Quinten stopped communicating with friends and family, said Ark City Police Lt. Eric Burr.
“Currently right now, I kind of get the feeling that he’s not alive and so we’re doing a rescue, i mean recovery,” says his mother Charissa. “We’re looking for anything. His personal belongings, anything that may have been his or something that was with someone who was with him or him himself.”
Private search groups have assisted with the case, but recent rain has hindered those searches.
He’s 6’2”, with brown hair, and weighs up to 200 pounds. He has large tattoos, like a gargoyle on his shoulder, a grim reaper on his arm and another large tattoo on his right arm. He was likely wearing a cross pendant necklace and carrying a black backpack.
The two people who were believed to be the last people to see Quinten are a part of the investigation, but police say they are not suspects. KAKE News has reached out to the man and the woman, but they have not responded. Quinten was also in the process of going through a divorce, but KAKE News was told the split was amicable.
