“If there was such a thing as a perfect crime, these guys almost did it…”

This promo is perhaps my favorite crime piece. It’s simple. Dark. Dramatic. Intriguing.

Never underestimate the power of pictures. A green screen. Zap sounders. And a scary undertone.

It’s the most infamous murder case in Kansas history.

November 1959, a family goes to bed for the evening… only to be murdered in cold blood. A murder now so well-known, it inspired movies and ever-so-popular novel “In Cold Blood.”

Eyewitness News Anchor Roger Cornish takes us back to Holcomb, Kan., for a look back at the Clutter killings 50 years later.
