The Kansas Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate the disappearance of Richard Salisbury, of Plains, Kan.

Richard, then 55 years old, was last seen on Sept. 20, 2022, in rural Gray County. 

According to a federal case file, a friend tells a story that Richard got out of the friend’s car on the side of the road by a corn field in Meade County. Richard “told him to come back in 10 mins. When friend returned Richard was nowhere to be found,” the NamUs report shows.

He had been living in Plains, Kansas, in Meade County, for around three months. Before that, he lived in the Austin, Texas-area, the KBI shares.
