Stephanie – my mentor at KWCH, filled with daily banter and inspiring work. If it wasn’t for your support, I don’t know how I would have survived the promotional side of the newsroom. Thanks for making me laugh and being a promo badass.
Shawn – a male boss with a fashion sense. (Nice argyle socks, buddy!) I’m glad he went out on a limb to hire a news reporter in need of work!
Kim, Chad, Mike, Brian and Christina – The newsies. Although I wasn’t working full time in front of the camera, you all helped refined my reporting and photography skills. Thanks for watching the many many hours of my work and finding new twists to constructive criticism.
Kendall – My news bestie from Topeka, now in Raleigh. I’m so lucky to have a former co-worker that’s always finding ways to encourage. And his voicemails are hella cool.

Though I’m sad to leave Wichita, this move is going to shape my career in ways I can’t even imagine. Fox 8 is a leader in the industry—third in the country to go HD. They have a talk show & a cooking show. Very well organized staff. A lot of potential.
I’ll miss you all, but like I said weeks ago, this isn’t a goodbye. You never truly leave people behind in this business. Besides, this is home to me—Wichita and KWCH 12. I’m glad you all are a part of it.
