Firetrucks rushed to Cleveland Clinic today, but it wasn’t to put out any flames. It was for one special delivery.
“Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas, everybody,” belted Santa Claus, as he arrived in his special fire engine.
With flashing lights and blaring sirens, a parade of North Pole firetrucks brought in the jolly guy, all to surprise the little ones who spotted his arrival.
“It was kinda cool because the fire truck, the fire truck’s horn sang ‘Jingle Bells,'” said eight-year-old Kyle Spence.
Santa Clause and his team of elves walked into a crowd of children, eagerly to witness the early Christmas magic.
“Yay, Santa is here,” the children shouted and waved.
It was all eyes on the big guy in red, as he gave away presents to sick children and their siblings.
“He talked to us all and gave us all presents,” Kyle said. “I got a Aero Race car. It’s cool!”
Santa and the elves gave presents to about 50 children this morning.
Though he’s got a couple of very busy days ahead, Santa said he couldn’t miss dropping by and sharing the sprit of the holiday.
“These children can’t go to the mall. They can’t do things every kids do,” Santa said. “It’s christmas. They’ve got to celebrate every year the same. If they can’t come to me, I come to them!”
