From pizza to the desserts–you’ve got to indulge during your Super Bowl party. And Glee’s Jane Lynch has the perfect game-day suggestion: dream bars.

These rich, chocolaty cookies are easy-to-make and are a definite crowd pleaser.

KATY PERRY’S TEENAGE DREAM BARS

Ingredients

3 cupsof graham cracker crumbs

3/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

2 cups sweetened flaked coconut

1 3/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

Yields: 20 servings

Directions

1. Place your oven baking rack in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lower that temperature to 325 if you’re using a glass baking dish. Grease baking dish or line with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and salt. Add the melted butter. Pour the mixture into the pan, then press down firmly to make the crust.

3. In the same large bowl, mix together the chocolate chips and coconut. Sprinkle this mix over the crust.

4. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the baking dish mix. Be sure to cover the whole surface. You’ll want each bit of coconut and chocolate covered by the condensed milk.

5. Bake in oven for 30 minutes. Rotate halfway through. Make sure the milk mixture doesn’t get brown in the middle–that’ll overcook it!

6. Let dream bars cool completely, then cut. Serve immediately.

The biggest challenge you’ll probably face while baking these goodies? Having enough for your guests!

I certainly hope you all enjoy this yummy dream of a recipe. Feel free to change it up. As Jane suggests, she uses peanut butter chips in addition to chocolate in her recipe. Or you could easily add dried cranberries or nuts to this one. The possibilities are endless.

Best wishes on your game day party!
